Grade 11 Courses.

Hello everyone,

I'm not exactly sure how active this community is, so I hope at least somebody reads this! I'm currently in grade ten, and I'm very determined to get into Ryerson's journalism course. However, I'm uncertain about which courses to take in grade eleven.. I'm completely stressed out because I don't know what they are looking for - only english relate subjects, or sciences as well? I hadn't thought of this when I chose my courses, so as of now I'm taking: Yearbook, Media Studies, French, Print/Broadcasting Tech, AP American History, English and math. I didn't take any sciences, and I'm worried that it's going to affect my chances of getting in.

If anyone could help me with this, I'd REALLY appreciate it. I've had several visits to the guidance office - no luck there, and even a tour at Ryerson. But I still don't feel comfortable. I'd just like to know if the courses I took are okay, and if not which should I switch into (if I have the chance.)

Thank you!

Re: Advice
Woops! I didn't realize someone else had already responded.

I'll second that person's advice though. You need a 90 avg. or something extremely close to it.

I didn't even take Gr. 12 math or science. Got a part-time job, banked money, and improved my resume instead.
